Why are using DllImport instead of .NET?

Hi,
why are you using Kernel functions in FileSystem objects (Directory, File) instead of using standard .net methods of (System.IO.Directory...) ?

from what i can remember, there were issues with attribute data not carrying over correctly, but it's been a while.
