How to run the dismiss notifications script in Alfred

Hi and sorry about posting this in Issues.

Thank you for sharing this script! It works when I run it with the Script Editor, but when I run it in Alfred using a hotkey, it doesn't do anything... Since you seem to also be using Alfred, I thought I'd ask how you get it to work?

No need for apology, this is good to know. It also stopped working for me maybe a week ago.

I think a recent osx update might have broken this.

The output for me is now:

[08:38:42.868] STDERR: dismiss_notification_center[Run Script] dismiss_notification_center: 0
'System Events got an error: Can’t get window "Notification Center" of process "Notification Center".'

MacOS Big Sur 11.4 (20F71)

Anyone want to help debug? I did a cursory search on stackoverflow and was unable to find a fix.

For me, the error occurs when I run in Terminal directly now as well.

I don't know anything about AppleScript, but I could do some testing if that's helpful. Because the new Big Sur notifications are super annoying :-P

I'm still running 11.3 (because I've got the super-slow update download problem that seems to be a common issue).

How come it works when run from the Script Editor, but not Alfred? Maybe it could also be an Alfred issue?

hmm, that may be a permissions setting. On 11.3, it's possible it would work not be working for you because of your permissions.

But in 11.4 Big Sur, this no longer works for me even in Script Editor.
