blank screen when using mastodon.social

After being authenticated/authorized with the mastodon.social instance (perhaps others but I'm not sure yet) part of the time it only renders a blank screen. Other times it will show the timeline but after browsing for a minute or so the screen will go blank.

The same problem is when you visit any mastodon instance from the "old" browser on 16.04. Maybe thats a 16.04 bug and not a uMastonauts bug?

However I will switch to QtWebEngine next week and will try to fix this.

same here. switched from ubuntu 15.04 rc3 to 16.04 stable.

So thats going on here:
When I start the app with the normal Ubuntu web, then I get this errors, when I login into a Mastodon instance:

And the screen gets white. Its the same behaviour in the normal browser.

I have tried to use QtWebEngine but then the app crashes and I get this errors:

Currently I have no idea how to fix this. :-(
