Trainer 2.2 is failing on projects that import library and update to 0.36 apis

Kueue is having issues bumping k8s 1.36 due to trainer dependency.

I had to use the latest main of trainer that has 1.36 bump to proceed with 1.36 update.

Is there plans to do a minor release to include 1.36 apis?

One idea we had offline is to do a 2.2.1 release to unblock Kueue or other projects that import Trainer and 0.36 apis.
