Docker images are returning HTTP error 404

Tried to pull the image registry.k8s.io/descheduler/descheduler and tried to browse to the registry at https://registry.k8s.io/descheduler

What did you expect to see?

Expected to see the image registry and see images being pulled

What did you see instead?
A 404 on the browser, and Error response from daemon: manifest for registry.k8s.io/descheduler/descheduler:latest not found: manifest unknown: Failed to fetch "latest" on docker pull

I recommend specifying the version for the tag rather than using 'latest'.
I also cannot access https://registry.k8s.io/descheduler, but I don't think that matters.

Yes I use a stable tag in Kubernetes. The issue I'm reporting has nothing to do with the tag. My org's registry pulls the images from the k8s registry and caches them, but currently it's unable to index the registry so I was trying to pull to my local system
