Technologies used for Ingate are NGINX for the data plane and Golang/CRD Runtime for the Control Plane. We will set up a discussion for others who are still open to discussion or need to be flushed out before we start creating code. Some of those are:

• L4 Dataplane

One request for the community is to review ingress-nginx features compared to the GatewayAPI functionality to improve both GatewayAPI and the migration to ingate. That document is hosted in Google Drive

Hello, I'm new here and excited about InGate and the future of Kubernetes Networking 👋

I have a question, do an option to replace NGINX with Pingora (or other proxies) as a data plane considered?

Is there a way to get more visibility into progress on ingate? The linked meeting notes doc above hasn't been updated in quite some time and there has been no recent commit activity in the repo. I assume things are moving along behind the scenes, but at a glance people may think this project is DOA.

For a little while it was stalled, I had a large customer migration I had to finish. But recently there was movement on this, #99 After we get this PR, gateway api -> nginx config, the gRPC api between data plane and control plane worked, and then first httproute done so others can help start implementing others.
