Plan for Kustomize Component

Hi Kustomize community,

I am wondering about the future plan of the kustomize component feature. I am using the this feature extensively and really love it. But I find the component API is in alpha, i.e. kustomize.config.k8s.io/v1alpha1.

So I am wondering whether we have the plan of pushing the component feature to versions with higher stability and better support in the future?
