There is little to no documentation on how to add a different OS to the list of supported OS versions.
I see AlmaLinux 9 was added.
I would like to contribute and understand how to add another OS.

Describe the solution you'd like

A developer doc to describe the process of adding support for another OS version/distribution.

Additional information

In some of the configuration examples, there are commands for installing packages but no documentation on that format.
