Operator deployed on OKD 4.19 deploys incompatible console plugin version #3885

@CygnixProto

Description

@CygnixProto

What happened:
KubeVirt HyperConverged Community 1.15.2 on OKD 4.19 deploys the wrong KubeVirt UI dashboard and is incompatible with 4.19s updated UI

Image Image

It appears that looking in deploy/olm-catalog/community-kubevirt-hyperconverged/1.15.2/manifests/kubevirt-hyperconverged-operator.v1.15.2.clusterserviceversion.yaml this image is hard set here. I can't see any way to override this in the operator.

What you expected to happen:
I would expect https://quay.io/repository/kubevirt-ui/kubevirt-plugin:v4.19.0 to be pulled instead of the v4.18.0 tag.

How to reproduce it (as minimally and precisely as possible):
Deploy KubeVirt from OperatorHub at the latest version on an OpenShift / OKD cluster running version 4.19

Environment:

  • KubeVirt version (use virtctl version): v1.5.2
  • Kubernetes version (use kubectl version): v1.31.7
  • VM or VMI specifications: N/A
  • Cloud provider or hardware configuration: N/A
  • OS (e.g. from /etc/os-release): OKD 4.19
  • Kernel (e.g. uname -a): N/A
  • Install tools: N/A
  • Others: N/A
