[Bug]: Vehicle movement detection only updated the last 2 minutes of a ride

I am not sure if this is a bug: the movement detection seems not to be reliable, maybe due to BMW api.
I noticed that always the last 2 minutes of a ride is indicated, even if the car is moved a longer time period.
This morning the car was driven for about 20 mins, but the sensor is only updated 2 mins before parking.

I know, you love debug logs but at the moment I have none - I am so sorry.

City (30-50 km/h) and country road (80-100 km/h), I would estimate an avg speed of ~50 km/h,
I noticed this 2-minute time frame with both cars - GPS/mobile network is pretty good in our area.

I will enable debug logs and can hopefully provide log data in the evening.

Yeah fixed. I never noticed. Cause I don't pay that much attention to it plus work drives are only like 3 mins:-)

try with new 4.8.0, should be better, if you already installed the beta of it, you gotta force install it again

Do you still need logs regarding the movement sensor? I captured today and could provide (need to clean it up first).

Try the new version with logs. If something is off, I can test it with the new logs.

My problem is mostly when I'm coding I'm only do small trips. My work is 2km from my house :&) so cant test that sensor much and in the weekend u have other stuff to do so I don't pay as much atenton to it :-)

Using the latest car data integration I catpured a moving session. It does imho not work properly. The trip took place from about 8:50 to 9:15 and was about 10km long.

Dont filter your debug logs....this is useless, and then you post a screenshots from 30 minutes latern where are the logs from those?

The screenshot indicates what I see in the HA history of the sensor. The logs are just cleaned from about 120k lines of shit which don't belong to cardata (I turned on Debug logging before going to bed, thinking it would just catch data from the integration) and the remaining lines are referring car data matching the time when the car was actually moved. That's what I got and delivered.
If I did something wrong, I am sorry.

And since it added like the times like 30 mins later it has to had done something then or received it late. Cause it seems like the trip itself is correct,cjust the timing isnt

I noticed that moving was still indicated, even when the vehicle was already parked. I know that there are reasons for that, but I want to suggest something for consideration:

When the doors state gets "secured" from former "locked", the movement sensor could be set to not moving immediately. As the door status comes quite early from the API this could speed up the not moving indication.

Fair point, I should check while driving if the doors or secured or locked. That would make it really simple :-) Stupid bmw sends door states every 5 seconds but battery...or odometer no way
