Misty Mark validation

I have a user from my website that shared some interesting info, and I know Anubis would enjoy the proof they provided;

From the user;
I have a petlil with misty mark that I legally obtained through a legitimate hunting method in pokemon violet, however I was trying to clone it and trade one out to use the showdown trader to obtain one modified to have been evolved into Hisuian Lilligant since I do not own legends arceus, however when trying to get a clone of it the website stated it was illegal because of the misty mark, however I had actually hunted it without any modifications. Proof that it is legitimately obtainable is in this video that explains the method Watch YouTube Video and this link which shows the applicable pokemon in each area of the teal mask dlc.

According to their research, they are saying that you can obtain Petilil in Wistful Fields with the mark legally. Selecting an encounter from the db from Wistful Fields and applying the mark does indeed show illegal.

This is already known, but information is insufficient for how to validate this with geography. Until there is a way to algorithmically match a spawner with whether it is eligible for Misty Mark, it cannot be implemented.

It is also worth noting that your link to hatenablog is out of date because it was written before flying was available. We are not looking for a list of species because location data matters.

I'm curious whether Switch 2 enhancements to SV will allow more Pokémon to be eligible for Misty Mark as well.
