Switch to Bitcoin Core

Hello,
I successfully set up docker-bitcoind. But I also wanted to try Bitcoin Core. So to not download the blockchain twice I moved the bitcoin folder to another machine, installed Bitcoin Core and told it to use that bitcoin folder. Unfortunately I get an error about the blockchain being corrupted. It asks to "fix" it (I forgot the wording) but that fails too after a while.

Did I do something wrong? Is my expectation correct that this project should be compatible with BC?
