I have installed it and I can confirm that VoLTE and VoWiFi work.
Was using previous version and when lastest was released, I just updated it than went into pixel ims, clear settings then activate VoLTE
Both menus (VoLTE and VoWiFi) are shown and was able to place a call over WiFi.

Hi there.

In my case, VoLTE was already enabled for my carrier in the Pixel 7 Pro, but VoWiFi is not. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be possible to enable VoWiFi in this scenario on the latest version (1.1.2).

When I open the IMS app, all toggles are already on, and the "Enable VoLTE" button is greyed out, so I can't trigger the process. Pressing the "Clear setting" button doesn't seem to do anything either.

I thought about disabling the toggles manually, but they don't seem to be usable either.

Maybe the app needs to check for VoWiFi separately, and if it's not enabled, provide a way to trigger the process even if VoLTE is already enabled? Maybe a separate VoWiFi button would make sense.

What do you think?

Edit: Opened an issue here as it's probably worth it.

I just installed Feb 2023 android update. VoLTE and VoWiFi are lost but all you need to do is restart Shizuku from adb, then in Pixel IMS app click Enable VoLTE and everything is fine and working.

They already are, and I've also had VoLTE working fine for years (and now on my Pixel 7 Pro too).

There must be some piece missing specifically for VoWiFi, but I don't know what it is :-(

Just wanted to share some feedback on trying your patch on Pixel 6 running on T-Mobile Poland network.

Since Android 13 VoLTE works on Pixel 6 out of the box, but not WiFi Calling.

I followed your instructions and run the script, then switched WiFi Calling on in the app.
WiFi Calling setting appeared right away, however I couldn't force it to work even after few reboots.
On top of that, whenever WiFi Calling is enabled in the device settings, phone can't register for VoLTE and calls are being placed over 3G.

Carrier supports WiFi Calling and I have it enabled on my line (I was using it with iPhone 7 previously).

Any chance you can check what could be the issue?

I'm in a similar situation (VoLTE already enabled without the app, but I need the app to enable VoWiFi).

In my case, even if I enable Wi-Fi calls, VoLTE continues working if I'm NOT connected to a Wi-Fi network.

But if I'm on a Wi-Fi network and I set it to prefer WiFi calls over mobile calls, it will also use 2G/3G. And if I force my phone to 4G/5G only (to disable 2G and 3G), then I cannot make calls while on Wi-Fi. I assume the phone chooses VoWiFi over VoLTE in that situation, fails to place the call, and can't fall back to 2G/3G so it just drops.

I'm still investigating, but I wonder if it could be something on the network side.

By the way, Vodafone Spain rolled out VoWiFi only a few months ago. Is that also the case for T-Mobile Poland?

I'm just wondering if there could be some carrier settings that are still missing in the AOSP/Pixel database for carriers that have only just rolled out the service.

Afaik T-Mo PL introduced both VoLTE and WiFi calling some few years ago.

WiFi calling has been working on my P6 back when I had root (beginning of '22).

I think with Android 12 and 13, VoWifi isnt prioritized. Android 11 made 8r persistent 8f WiFi was available.

Just go to Pixel IMS, Reset Carrier Configuration and also go to your settings and enable 2G at least (Along with going to *#*#4636#*#* and use LTE/NR/WCDMA/GSM). If you can afford, go into System > Reset Options > Reset Network Settings

Working perfectly fine for me (VoLTE and VoWIFI).

The only thing I'd like to get a workaround for is Shizuku. But that's not really the point of this patch.
If you're not rooted, you kinda need to re-enable it after each restart. If you are rooted, you can just give it permission and forget about it. It does its job perfectly fine in the background. But as a non-rooted user, you need to re-enable it. And, that seems to be due to the fact that WiFi debugging itself turns off automatically.

Yeah...but it didn't work like that on Android 13... :)) I remember I did have to re-enable Shizuku in order to get back the functionality. This is weird....

Could be because I was using Shizuku 12 on Android 13? Now I tried Shizuku 13 from Github, aaand...apparently you don't have to re-enable anything.

So, are you saying that, even on Android 13 (non beta), if you remove the apps, it still works? Is this a Shizuku feature or Android beta/14 specific issue...? I'm super confused right now. :))

im on android 13 (not beta), shizuku 13.2.1. I needed to start it only to apply the patch (i did wireless debugging, not adb from pc). I can uninstall the app right after and volte/wifi work fine for me even after restarting several times. It shouldn't be a shizuku version problem anyways, since its only used to apply the patch and thats it...Weird

Weird indeed... :)) But anyway, this is really cool! So, you just need to enable it once and that's it. After that, apparently you can even switch SIMs, and still works (provided it was activated before). This is awesome!!!

yeah its amazing. plus with wireless debugging even after a phone update it takes like 30-40 seconds to enable it again and call it a day till the next update

Working fine in my Pixel 7 with Carrier: GP.
Here pixel is not officially sold and also not listed as a supported country to Google.

But there are lots of people who use the pixel as their daily driver and in most cases, they import it from us UK or Japan. And in most cases, people face a heavy rate of call dropping. And sometimes they sold their phone just because of this issue. And as the pixel is not officially supported they can not enable VoLTE. Now by using these options we can enable vol

te and this will call drop issues in most cases. Which will remove the main burden to use pixel devices as a daily driver.

I tried the Pixel IMS app, shizuku is running but IMS status is showing as unregistered in both the app and the *# menu. Cant tell if VoLTE is actually working as calls are still being dropped. Any suggestions would be great

However, I still have 5G even tho I uninstalled magisk but lost VoLTE, and now thanks to you I'm able to have 5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi without root!

I rooted and used network guru method.
Google enabled VoLTE, VoWiFi and 5G on my Pixel 8 end of last year. However, my P6 only has VoWiFi and VoLTE.

The issue (and could be just on Pixel 6s, but sure looks like a bug), is that, at least in my case, the phone wouldn't connect to 5G, even though the carrier supported it, and the phone supported it.

As a (stupid) workaround, I had to remove the SIM card, boot the phone without a SIM, then put the SIM back, and reboot. Yes, that stupid. Oooor, switch SIMs.

So, if you're sure that Pixel 6 SIM is ok, has everything enabled on carrier side, then....I feel like you might be having the exact same issue.

For as far as I know (and I could be wrong, of course), Pixel IMS app doesn't help with 5G. Only with VoLTE, VoWIFI and some cosmetic issues. But I'm guessing you might already have native support, if it's also enabled on the Pixel 8.

First of all thank you very much for your work.

I am from Mexico, I have a Pixel 6a and here we use a virtual mobile operator or "OMV" called "Newww", which depends on a provider called "Altan", when a phone cannot be used, they force us to use an app called "VozApp" and with she we can make calls it works but it's horrible and the calls are pretty bad like talking on skype.

That being said, I followed all the installation steps and the tutorial, everything indicated that it was "done", but it did not work for me, the menu appeared and I could activate it and the IMS check told me that VoLTE is active, but it did not pass nothing, so I spoke to the customer service of my mobile operator, I told them that I could not receive calls "because they had changed phones".

They told me that indeed my device was listed as not compatible, so I told them that I had VoLTE enabled and I didn't understand why I had no service, I noticed that my line went "offline" and after a while, my line went back to work so I tried again to make calls and it started working with no problem.

So maybe if someone like me is experiencing the same thing, a call to the operator is a good idea.

No, solo les dije que tenía la opción VoLTE activada y no tenía línea, me dijeron que el problema era mi teléfono y después de eso "note" que mi línea se desconectó y volvió a funcionar unos minutos después ya con servicio al 100%.

As the carrier do not support VoWiFi I'm not able to check it.
I'm wondering whether the method is executing APIs without a need of root, is it possible to develop such application for 5G enabling also?

So bad that donations cannot be donde but this module helped me have 5G, VoLTE/VoWifi on Movistar Mexico using a Pixel 6. I used to have rooted at first but many problems with some apps, especially payments.

Ok, después de un update de Android, tuve que volver a activar el LTE, tal como dicen las instrucciones, tengo ya tres semanas y sigue funcionado sin problemas, las llamadas son superclaras y no he tenido más problemas con mi OMV Newww y mi Pixel 6a.

For some reason, the phone falls back to the 3G calling and not using the VoLTE. At the same time, VoWiFi is working perfectly.

Is normal in some network . They simply don't have VoLte enabled yet and fallback calls over legacy network .

sadly, this doesn't work on my oneplus nord n30 on fizz in canada. (fizz is a subsidiary of videotron.)

the procedures all work perfectly and i can turn on volte in the software -- but the phone still fails the volte test call.

fizz says they won't "certify" oneplus phones (or any they don't sell) -- so i guess i'm on the hook to buy a new phone when they phase out 4g on july 1st!

Switzerland will be turning off 3G network until the end of year (Swisscom), some until December 2025 (Salt) and some until 10th of June 2025 (Sunrise).
My old Sony Xperia 1 II failed to have a VoLTE option. Thanks to this repository I was able to enable it.
I will report back what happens on the 10th of June.

Using from Bangladesh on my Airtel SIM (primary physical slot). On Pixel 7a Android 16 VoLTE works fine after V1.3.0 update. But my secondary Garameenphone eSIM shows that it's unregistered on the IMS app. Doesn't it work on secondary slots/eSIM?
