Is 'LG U+' as the default secondary user operator name necessary?

it seems a lot of people, including me, who doesn't use LG, use that preset. So can't it be called something different? I'm saying this because I had a hard time figuring out why I couldn't get this to work until I found out that the LG user agent actually works on my device as well.
