IMS Registered - Airtel Bangladesh

Hi, I successfully made VoLTE work on my Airtel SIM.

Process I followed:-

1. Install and start Shizuku from PlayStore.

2. Download and install the latest version of ‘Pixel IMS’ app from GitHub.

3. Open ‘Pixel IMS’ app, and allow permission prompt from Shizuku, for ‘Pixel IMS’

4. Select SIM (Airtel) from the bottom navigation bar and Enable VoLTE (and other toggles, if you feel fancy)

5. I did turn on and off the ‘Airplane mode’ to re-register my SIM to the carrier. But, you can and should reboot (restart) your phone to be in the safe.

My setup specifics:-

Device: Google Pixel 8

OS: Android 15 (with latest software and security update)

Country: Bangladesh

Carrier: Airtel

SIM Type: e-SIM

I tried the exact same approach but could get it to register on my 6 pro. Did i miss anything?

You haven’t specified which SIM card you are using. Assuming you are using Airtel, after completing my step by step guide, please confirm 2 things.

1. Go to Settings>Network & internet>SIMs>Airtel. Make sure there is a new option named "VoLTE" and it's turned on.
2. Make sure, it showing "not registered" in the * # * # 4636# * # *⇨Phone info⇨ IMS Status.

If these two things match with your case, then it's the operator issue. I have faced this problem recently. After upgrading to Android 16, my IMS got unregistered from Airtel's side.

You have 2 options now. Both of them are working.

1. In your dialar, type *# 06# to see both of your IMEI number. Now note down the corresponding IMEI number for Airtel. Like, if your Airtel is connect as SIM 1, then note down the IMEI 1.
   Call 121, choose any language, then press 0 to talk to a human representative. Tell him/her, you are using a VoLTE supported handset. You have been using VoLTE before in this same handset. But for some reason it got turned off from their server (Yeah, you have to lie a bit). Tell them to turn on your VoLTE again. Now the representative will ask for your handset model and IMEI. Give them your correct info. At this point the representative will tell you, they are taking a complaint on your behalf for this VoLTE issue, you will get contacted by their technical team within 3 working days. Say thank you and hang up the call.
   You don’t have to wait for their technical team to reach out. You will get VoLTE service immediately after hanging up the call. It took me 7 minutes to talk to the representative. And 121 is toll free. You will get charged for the call, then Airtel will give back the money after a couple of hours.

2. If option 1 feels too much for you, then just go to the nearest Airtel Customer Care. Tell them to turn on VoLTE for your SIM. Make sure you have the VoLTE option in your SIM's setting before handing your phone over to the person serving you. They will handle the rest.

Hi, I have a Pixel 7 Japan variant. I am using it in Bangladesh (Banglalink) . Mobile data is working fine, but calls (incoming and outgoing) are not working.

When I check IMS status, it shows “Not Registered”.
