Volte/5g patch working In Mainland China with China Mobile

I got my Pixel 9 Pro XL in february of 2025, at the time, I was frustrated about only getting 4G/LTE signal in mainland china (Beijing) with the google pixel when I clearly activated the 5G plan, but then I found some tutorials by some people on bilibili, which led me to shizuku + pixel ims, then after applying the patch, volte and vo5g/5g worked magically! First I had some issues with the signal, the tutorials all had one flaw, that is after restart, you have to repeat the tutorial once more, but now, a new tutorial worked flawlessly with no restarts. And I am happy to say that 5G coverage is MUCH MUCH better than 4G coverage here in Beijing, during this time my 5G signal never dropped below three bars, even in my house.

I don't think the data 5g is real? Happy to learn your specific steps. The folks on Bilibili are not very responsive

it is, the specific steps I will post later, but as of now, it still works on my pixel 9 pro xl (os version 16(BP3A.251105.015) )

Steps are as follows:

1. Update both Shizuku and Pixel IMS to latest Version
2. Turn off mobile data, and connect to your home wifi
3. Open shizuku, click pairing
4. Then go to settings - then activate developer mode
5. Go inside developer mode, click wireless debugging
6. Turn on wireless debugging for your Wi-Fi network
7. Enter the code that appears on the screen in the shizuku messagebox
8. Now it should pair!
9. Click the Start button, if succeded, will show: Program started, exiting in 3 .... blabla, you get it, just read the command line
10. Go to pixel ims (if nothing shows up click the refresh button and tap a few times)
11. Go into sim config (the sim to activate 5g)
12. Flip switches from off to on (VoLTE, VoNR, VoWiFi(if carrier supports), 4GLTE+) (if the switches are already on please toggle them off and on anyways)
13. Swipe down and tap to enter expert mode, in expert mode, search for "nr_ava", full name is "carrier_nr_availabilities_int_array"
14. You should see "carrier_nr_availabilities_int_array" only, with a [1] under it, click on it
15. Edit and add a 2 to the number, so the number becomes [1, 2]
16. Exit Pixel IMS
17. Turn on mobile data
18. Ta-Da! You've got 5G!
19. See if it holds, if it does, it works!

I'm having the same issue in Egypt. Please let me know how you activated 5G in China so I can do the same steps here. I believe it will be the same steps. Thank you!

The steps are above (same for egypt I think, please also check with your local carrier), and it still works in my pixel (november update), though I believe the december 2025 upgrade breaks pixel ims again for pixel phones...
