Differentiate items that have sub items

While recording a track, one sees 12 buttons on the screen. However some of these buttons lead to further sub items and some of them don't. Alas there is no way to tell the difference. Therefore kindly add three dots after the title of each item that leads to a sub item..

Not a bad idea, although it may not be as simple as expected due to the fact that all labels are translated in various languages.

A work-around I use is to put a ">" at the end of the label to indicate a sub-menu.

Maybe separate the translation part and a suffix part. That way the suffix would't need to be translated.

A difficulty is that it wouldn't necessary be a suffix in all languages. For example some write right to left, and some other probably don't have the concept of suffixes like Asian languages?

Perhaps it would be better to alter the actual button drawing somehow to indicate a submenu, rather than altering the text.

All I know is that in Firefox and Chromium, all menu items that contain subitems have a ">" far off to the right. That, yes, surely is not part of the text.

What about adding badges in corner of buttons ?

• In the top right corner of tag button : maybe something like ➕, or even better a map marker 📍
• In the top left corner of page button : something like 💬, or a burger menu badge ≡, or a folder 📁 badge
