I would like to be a maintainer of Laminas (ex Zend in general). Been used it since 2009.
My main reason is that my main website homezone.al is based on it for the API. And secondly with AI today this can be easy to maintain.

Thank you for you interest in being a maintainer @albanx - you experience using ZF and Laminas components is noted, but, push permissions to the Laminas and Mezzio projects work on trust and demonstrated knowledge of the ecosytem.

For example, I personally contributed many PRs and issues to the projects over the course of a number of years before I was nominated to be a maintainer.

I cannot find any history of your contributions to any of the repositories we maintain, so whilst we do indeed need help maintaining the projects, nominating yourself as a maintainer is a little premature.

Could you instead take a look at issues labelled with "Help Wanted" to see where you could help out.

Please also bear in mind that automated PRs made with "AI" coding agents are not likely to be accepted. We need our contributors and maintainers to demonstrate thorough understanding of everything they commit and to also be able to attest that they wrote the code they submit so that we can ensure the copyright notices we ship with our software are actually for code we can claim the copyright on.

@gsteel I do understand what you mean, but I do not think my request is premature. Nether less not having contributed to the framework does not make it a reason.
This framework is in decline, toward dead end, many packages are being deprecated. Which totally pity because it is a good PHP Framework.

I would be happy to start contributing to it and maintain with PRs and issues, either no need push access (as no body should have without proper reviews).
Now, this phrase here "Please also bear in mind that automated PRs made with "AI" coding agents are not likely to be accepted." is really surprising to me, while all software engineering eco system is moving towards AI assisted development, with much more productivity, shows clearly some kind of resistance to change and improvements.
It is given that in any kind of PR, either done with AI or manually, need good understanding of the changes done. I can guarantee you that even in Microsoft, though most code is produced AI driven, it is carefully reviewed and analysed, corrected as a normal PR.
If the resistance to change is going to be this way, most probably this framework will not have a future (costing me some pain to move over Laravel). Also the copyright claim is quite absurd, I do not think when you use an editor, the editor owners can claim copyright, right?

Regarding my understanding of ZF1/2/3 and Laminas, as I said worked with it since 2009 both enterprise and personal projects, having collaborated with Enrico Zimuel in the early 2011, and I have an understand of it.
