How to display a personal note (withouth any other information) #232

Hi
This is more of an inquiry than an issue (discussion is not enabled in this repo).
How would I add a custom personal note only?
I would like to display an author's note without any other information such as author, date, place .. etc. The note belongs to the author of the article itself (not to a reference).
Typically, such note are displayed with an asterisk * or a dagger †, but I don't mind if it is numbered as well.
