@Laura - This report is suggesting a possible phase lag between Google Trended search counts and coin purchases - the conclusions have some (albeit tenuous) implications for this crypto signal work project, and I think were not explored from Howard's original study - it might be worthwhile trying a cross-correlation analysis on the data that includes a phase lag - the efficacy of this could initially be looked at by eyeballing the 2017 ATH and data around that to see whether a more quantitative follow up is worthwhile.
