Add a Visual Workspace feature that provides an infinite, zoomable canvas for organising notes and content spatially. This workspace should allow users to place notes as movable cards, create standalone text cards, and freely arrange, resize, and group them on a 2D surface.
Users should be able to draw connections between cards to represent relationships, with optional labels. Notes added to the Visual Workspace should remain linked to their original content (no duplication), and opening a card should open the underlying note for editing.
The Visual Workspace should support embedding common content types such as images, PDFs, and links. It should integrate naturally with existing notebooks, appear alongside regular notes, and be storable as a structured file that preserves layout and connections.
This feature would add a visual layer to Joplin, enabling non-linear thinking, brainstorming, and project planning while staying compatible with its existing note-based workflow.
Preferably as a plugin. If not possible, native is ok.
