Description
I have an ABB Terra box EV Charger, and I use HA to measure the home current and to dynamically adjust the maximum current of the charger in order to utilize the available current of my house.
It worked well until a recent update. Unfortunately, the update was on all three components (charger, HA, integration) so I can't tell who's the root cause.
The charger has two apps - one for technicians and one for users. The technician sets the maximum allowed current from 6 to 32A (the charger max), while the user selects the usage current (from 6 to the technician limit).
The two entities I have in the integration are:
- A Sensor named Current Offered
- A Number named Maximum Current
While I was expecting that they will be the technician and the user values, it seems that the "Maximum Current" sets the user value and the "Current Offered" is read only.
The problem is that after the updates the "Current Offered" is set to 7A, regardless of the other parameters that are 16A or more. The technician app claims that this is due to external OCPP setup.
I think that the proper setting should be of the "Current Offered", which should be a number and not sensor.
The versions I use are:
OCPP v0.10.9
ABB Terra V1.8.34
HA Core 2025.11.3
