Dear @MassimoCimmino, I was wondering whether the fluid within the system but outside the boreholes is accounted for in the borefield's capacity. Specifically, I am referring to the fluid in the connecting pipes between multiple boreholes, which, according to Xu & Spitler (2006), can contribute up to a factor of 2 of the fluid volume.
I calculated the fluid volume of a pipe segment using the segment length and cross-section:
The fluid volume of a pipe segment I found to be calculated based on the pipe segment length and cross-section: VTubSeg=hSegModelica.Constants.pi(borFieDat.conDat.rTub - borFieDat.conDat.eTub)^2. Is the additional fluid in the connecting pipes considered elsewhere in the model?
