Description
Hello everyone!
First of all, I wanted to thank @ldrolez and other contributors for free-midi-chords! It's awesome and I use it a lot in my research and work! :)
I have been meaning to contribute to free-midi-chords for a while now so I will get right to it:
** Which Chord progression would you like to add to the pack? **
5400_unique_12_chords_progressions.json
This Json file contains 5400 unique 12-chords progressions which were extracted from one of my MIDI datasets.
While some progressions may already be a part of free-midi-chords, most of them should be unique. And I highly hope it will help to expand/add to free-midi-chords collection.
The chords progressions are in form of a python list of lists of chords qualities. I apologize for not using the standard notation. However, it should be easy to convert them to free-midi-chords format.
The chords progressions in the list were sorted from most common to least common.
You can easily read the file like so:
import json
# Open and read the JSON file
with open('5400_unique_12_chords_progressions.json', 'r') as file:
chords = json.load(file)
# Print first 10 chords
print(chords[:10])This is WIP and I plan to add additional data and features to this chords collection.
Hope this is somehow useful.
Most sincerely,
Alex
