Hey @ldrolez and free-midi-chords community!

I wanted to invite all who are interested to check out my new chords progressions dataset and chords texturing AI model.

I think many of you will find it useful and interesting, especially if you are into MIR or chords progressions.

Here are the links:

Some info FYI:

  1. The chords progressions dataset contains unique (aka de-duped) chords progressions without repeating chords and only if it matched the target lengths (i.e. 12 unique chords or 8 unique chords, etc.).

  2. Chords texturing transformer AI model can be used for generating sketches/drafts of the composition based on its chords. Unfortunately, due to limitations of AI technology, it may not always produce good results so keep that in mind.

I am fascinated by chords and chords progressions among other musical elements because of its complexity and numerical size. By my estimates an 8-chord progression has 320^8 (over quintillion) possible combinations, which is mind boggling and very humbling IMHO. So even my dataset is a just a tiny drop in the ocean of music/chords.

Any feedback or suggestions would be very much appreciated :)

Sincerely,

Alex
