single player is my own instance and uses the versions above
my single player uses Thaylar's scehm world generator
I was NOT on the most current version in single player so I updated to those versions above, and the problem is exactly the same
Current Behavior
- on schem server if I scan a building with item frames or armor stands I have to be inside the building next to the hut block for it to actually save the item frames and the armor stands. If I am outside the building and just outside the bounding box of the scan, it leaves out all those details, but says that it scanned them. Even when I am inside the building and have actually scanned said entities - the build preview does not show them.
in the images I will share the scan shows it scanned the item frames, I was inside the building - but it did not show that it scanned an allay, when I pasted into a single player world, the allay was pasted in as well I am told that structurize is not supposed to scan mobs, clearly it does. I don't mind that it does because I rather like the underwater supply camp the way it is, but I think if it is supposed to scan mobs it should list them in the right hand column, which it does in single player but not on the schem server.
- on the single player world (created with Thaylars world generator) I can scan a building level 5 from the level four plot but it does not scan item frames or armor stands (or mobs) from the level 3 plot, but at least it's honest about not scanning those, from the level 2 plot it scans nothing at all but at least it's honest there too
In single player, mobs DO show as being scanned in the right column (they do not on the schem server) however I am told this is a bug and that it is not intended behavior for mobs to be scanned at all.
these images are from my single player world, a Thaylar schem world, and the view of what I am told is being scanned from the level 4 plot, from the level 3 plot, and from the level 2 plot, as you can see standing at the level 4 plot it says it will scan everything (although it does not list items in the frames, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to or not but they paste in from the scan so it's working as intended that way, which is what matters) it does list the allay as getting scanned.

From the level 2 plot nothing will scan at all
Expected Behavior
- if I am scanning a building from the autoscan room or from any level plot in that buildings "row" it should scan everything it's supposed to, item frames, items in the frames, armor stands etc
- If I manually scan a building then the resource list should list everything being scanned, including mobs if that is supposed to be scanned
- If I'm wrong about this expected behavior, it should at least be consistent, every person in every updated version of structurize should have the same experience, server ops, non server ops, single player, LAN or on a server. - if expected behavior is that you have to scan all buildings on the location of the building then I don't think we would have an autoscan room. Clearly Thaylar was under the impression that if you stand on the level 3 plot you can scan all five levels of a building, because Thaylar's autoscanner TP's you to right beside the level 3 plot of each building. Thodor offered to copy all the buildings on all the styles over to a new server in order to help you get rid of the structures and make a clean world, and I don't think he planned on doing it 100% manually, so If I'm wrong, then Moobien, Thodor, and Thaylar are also mistaken in their expectations.
Reproduction Steps
on schem server visit any building of your own or of my own and scan from the autoscanner choosing a building with a lot of item frames such as Paris sawmill (which has a poor allay trapped in its placeholders which I have left there for the purposes of you being able to reproduce this) plot 55
then go paste what you scanned
Then go to the actual building - feel free to TP using a copy of my scan tool, which is on a rack in the autoscan room right behind the sawmill hutblock
scan from inside the boundary box of the scan, see what it's scanning - then move further away.
I thought the problem might be that I'm not a server op anymore - but in single player this only seems marginally better
paste these scans and see if what you ordered is what you got.
I initially thought my problem was not being a server op, but this problem is only a TINY bit better in single player,
a few years ago when I did functional fantasy the autoscan room was fine and scanned everything that is plot 13,
with paris, it can't even handle scanning the town hall right next to the autoscanner, it misses the armor stands
I cannot caption these screen shots easily but I did post some in builder-chat in discord.

when I pasted this into single player the first time I had scanned from the level 1 plot after pasting the scans into a commmand block, went to single player and none of the item frames were present
I came back got the screen shot of what was there, what it said it would scan and what the preview showed
I went back to my single player to "fix it" and when I pasted it - it was fine - the item frames were there but there was an allay trapped on the roof.
