add GPU load metric

Hello Leandro,

yesterday I noticed that my laptop fan went suddenly noisy. Taskbar monitor did not indicate load either on CPU or GPU 3D.

However Windows task manager revealed there was a process with 70 % in "GPU" column.

I wonder if you could add this "GPU" metric into the Taskbar monitor.

Hi, we have added GPU engine and GPU memory monitoring support. Check if you have the last version, go to settings, and see if the option is enabled:

Note that we can only show one of the engines (3D, COPY, etc.) at any given time, so we show the one with higher utilization percentage at the moment. It is the same approach that Windows task manager uses in the small graphs section (perfomance tab, on the left).

Yes, I have both GPU 3D and GPU MEM enabled. But, as I write in my post, GPU 3D did not show significant load while Windows taskbar did (in their GPU column). So I suppose they use different "kind of load" for GPU. :-)

I currently have Taskbar-monitor 0.5.3. on Windows 11 x64.
