Communications Improvements (Comm Panel) project

Hello everyone

I am Iqra Khan, a final-year postgraduate student pursuing a Master’s in AI/ML. I am very interested in web development and open source. I have experience with frontend tech stacks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and am currently working with Python and Django to build full-stack applications.

I recently came across the “Communications Improvements” project for the ESP Website and found it very interesting, particularly the combination of Django development, email templating, and UX improvements. I’m planning to participate in GSoC and would love to contribute through this project.

However, before I proceed further, I have one question. The project description mentions specific issues (#2885, #3833, #3951). Should my proposal be limited to these, or would it be acceptable to propose additional improvements (such as UX or workflow enhancements) if they align with the overall project goal?
