EWI 4000s not being recognised

Hey there,
I'm using the Roland UM-ONE MK2 midi cord and no matter what I do my ewi 4000s isn't being recognised on the software. Been checking out a few YouTube videos on the matter and many other people are experiencing too. I've linked a video showing that its not connecting and have even tried different versions but can't seem to get it to work. Running Monterey 12.0.1 on the M1 Max chip.

I am having the same issue.
My setup is:

• Akai 4000s v2.3
• M-AUDIO USB UNO MIDI Interface
• MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), Monterey v12.7.6 (2,9 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5)
