It is probably best to keep the users' UUIDs in state, save them to the DB, and dynamically replace them with the user name at request time (within the backend API handler). i.e. save to the DB something like User {0800...} lost access to ..., then replace {0800...} with the user name before sending back the API response. With that, we also support the case where the username changes, which might be the case as we are using OAuth.
