Bug: All headings & lists get unfolded when inserting template

This is true for both the core Templates plugin & 'Templater'.

Also, when switching from Reading view to Live Preview, the page often scrolls to the top instead of retaining the scroll position. I have confirmed that Creases is the culprit.

Hello, commenting to add this is still the case as of latest obsidian update 2025-03-05. For example, inserting a template via templater into an already-created note unfolds all headings marked with %% fold %%.

I believe, at least on my end + with testing on bare-bones vaults (only core plugins enabled, no snippets, default theme, etc).. it may not be entirely a creases issue, as it still persists, specifically when my daily note opens upon start and if it is a fresh/new daily note—e.g., when a template (not templater!) is applied to daily note.

It is a minor inconvenience to be fair.

Nonetheless. Obsidian team seems somewhat reluctant to dive in, and thus it also seems a bit unfair to say it is a creases issue as it stands currently—albeit one that, maybe, would be worthwhile raising some awareness towards.
