Help with maintenance?

Hi,

I was considering using this module in a project, but since it supports checking out only, it’s of limited use currently, so I have to rely on the official implementation. However, even read only access is enough for many uses, but I’d like to clean up the code, add more documentation, possibly tests and so on. Would you be willing to let me share the duties if I get anywhere with this? I could always fork, obviously, but I’d like to avoid the situation when there are 100500 modules on PyPI with similar names and different sets of limitations 😄

Go ahead, good contributions are always welcome. Moreover Liberapay doesn't actually use this module anymore, so a new maintainer is needed.
