Cannot get Lakka 5 installed on a RPi 5 with 16 gb of RAM

Hello,

I am trying to install Lakka 5.0 on a RPi5 with 16 gb of RAM but it will not boot up and expand from the flashed image. I have used Lakka in the past on a RPi2 and it expands and installs flawlessly.

I am using the following image:

Lakka-RPi5.aarch64-5.0.img.gz

using balenaEtcher on a 128gb microsd card.

I also successfully installed a nightly build of Lakka 6 on the RPi 5 but I am having some sound issues so I wanted to use the stable version that doesn't have the sound issues. Could you give me any suggestions or advice on how I might be able to use the Lakka 5 on the RPi5.

Lakka v5.0 has ext4 expansion trouble on over 32GB disk.

Please try the nightly v5 version.

Thank you so much! I will give it a try. The sound issues are when I run PAL games and the refresh rate changes, the game will not produce any sound and then all games will not produce sound. A reset and sounds are back. Also if I run anything with the Final Burn Core no sound and then nothing else runs sound. Again a reset and sound is back. Thanks again.

I flashed a copy of the nightly v5 version you posted for me using the 128gb card but it did the same thing. It began to load and then it stopped. I also had a 32gb card that I flashed a copy to and that one didn't load successfully either.

Oops, Lakka v5 doesn't support the RPi5 latest hardware version.
This problem is same as #2017

We have to use Lakka v6 or later version on the latest RPi5 (Rev D0 or leter).

In my first report, I did focus only 128GB disk and Lakka v5.0.
