hi,

After connecting via netplay in retroarch (steam version used), on the first pc-engine screen, as soon as the run button is pressed (bringing up a screen with a sppaceship and the word "now loading"), the client will be disconnected from the host.

We tried doing the same thing with a non-CD game (Barunba) as well as two CD games (Ane-san and NEXZR), and no such problems occured.
We also attempted and successfully ran the game via mednaffen's netplay in the past (it worked fine, the delay is just bad).

To add some context: I help run retroarch tournaments for fighting games and frequently use it for shmups as well, so switching to mednaffen is very much not a viable alternative.

In case it matters, retroarch version number is: 1.21.0
