Essential Tab Unload

Adds Zen's built-in unload button (-) to Essential tabs as a small badge.

Features

  • Shows the unload button in the top-right corner of Essential tabs.
  • Only displays the button for loaded tabs.
  • Reveals the button when hovering an Essential tab.
  • Hides the "Remove from Essentials" (×) button.
  • Compatible with SuperPins mod.

How It Works

This mod reuses Zen's existing unload functionality rather than creating a custom button. Clicking the badge unloads the tab while keeping it in your Essentials list.

Compatibility

Tested with:

  • Zen Browser stock
  • Zen Browser with SuperPins mod

Notes

  • Unloaded tabs do not display the unload button.
  • The button uses Zen's native unload action and icon.
