piet-cairo do not hendle new line charater propely

When it ask to render a new line char piet-cairo do generate a proper text layout, but it display a tofu where the new line is instead of displaying nothing.

This also affects the tab character.

I encountered this a while back myself but didn't think to open a bug. I'm on Manjaro w/latest updates. I would be curious to see if this affects the Cairo backend on macOS.

this is the result of us using cairo's toy text API. We need to implement real text ourselves when using cairo; the current thinking is that this will use skribo, but it could potentially be done with pango bindings.
