Is this the latest instruction set for installing linien for Development : ?

I am following the instructions to install linien for Developement so that I can make modifications to Python source code to customize my project/experiment.
There are some instructions in the above URL link that refer to modifying setup.py in the linien-common, linien-server, linien-gui, and lienien-client to modify the version for development, eg. 0.6.0.dev, however no setup.py file exists in the latest codebase on github for linien.
I was able to follow the instructions otherwise with using the pip install -e ., to install to where the python source code can be modified for customization however I am having issues getting the linien-client on my windows PC to connect to the linien-server on the Red Pitaya.
I am able to ping the Red Pitaya just fine but I get errors when trying to connect to the Red Pitaya via the linien gui. I've attached a couple of files with the successfull ping and the linien-gui errors for reference.
Do you have any troubleshooting steps for me to try? Thanks for any direction/input that you can provide.
