Description

- Distribution: Linux Mint 19.2, 64 bit
- Accelerometer: ST LIS3LV02DL Accelerometer
- Model: HP Elitebook 820 G1
Issue
Wrong rotation applied
Steps to reproduce
When i rotate the laptop left, monitor-sensor
say
Waiting for iio-sensor-proxy to appear
+++ iio-sensor-proxy appeared
=== Has accelerometer (orientation: normal)
=== No ambient light sensor
Accelerometer orientation changed: right-up
and the screen rotates on portrait mode, but in reverse (upside down). Same for other orientations makes it always unusable. Also it is to sensitive
Expected behaviour
When a left rotation is given the screen must rotate right, when an up rotation the screen must rotate down.
Possible solution
- Provide an option to have inverse rotations
- Allow to have better control. If angle is not possible to control then provide the option to have screen rotation if user do the rotation n (or just 2) times.
- If possible allow to have custom actions on screen rotations.
