Driver Manager should allow the user to switch from "radeon" and "amdgpu" drivers #96

Hello!

A friend of mine recently installed Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon. He has a AMD Radeon R5 220 video card (bought recently, but it's an old GPU). It only works with the old "radeon" driver, but by default the operating system uses the newer "amdgpu" driver.

He needed to manually switch from "amdgpu" to "radeon" driver to get things done. The Linux Mint's Driver Manager showed no option to change the video driver.

This is a barrier for new users, who are unaware of this condition and often do not have enough knowledge to change the video driver. Linux Mint should at least suggest the older AMD driver depending of the installed GPU.

Thanks!
