Describe the bug
i upgraded two laptops from Mint Cinnamon 22.0 to 22.1. In each case the program tlp got uninstalled, for some reason,

To Reproduce
Unknown. Perhaps:

  1. Have tlp installed on Mint 22.0.
  2. Update to 22.1, via mintUpdate.
  3. Discover that tlp has been uninstalled.

Expected behavior
tlp should not be removed.

Distribution:

  • Linux Mint
  • LMDE
  • Other (please specify)

Software version:
I do not know what version mintUpdate was before the upgrade.

Logs:
Copy & paste the log output from Update Manager > View > Information here.
There is nothing relevant within that small log. But see below.

Additional context

  • I do not have - but I think that perhaps I did have, pre-upgrade, this PPA for tlp: linrunner/tlp

  • On one of the two machines, the upgrade did not complete successfully on its initial run; in order to finish the upgrade, I did sudo apt upgrade.

  • Ah: I found the following within /var/log/apt/eipp.log.

Package: power-profiles-daemon
Architecture: amd64
Version: 0.21-1
APT-ID: 5507
Status: installed
Depends: libc6 (>= 2.34), libglib2.0-0t64 (>= 2.79.0), libgudev-1.0-0 (>= 234), libpolkit-gobject-1-0 (>= 0.99), python3:any (>= 3.11~), python3-gi
Conflicts: laptop-mode-tools, tlp

I saw nothing in 22.1's release notes about that.

The problem looks likely to bit a lot of people.
