Directories remain undeleted on kernel removal

After removing the old 6.8.0-53 kernel using the Remove function in the kernel section of the Update Manager, I was left with the following directories on my system. Would it be possible to also delete these for any given kernel as part of the removal code?

/usr/lib/linux-tools/6.8.0-53-generic/
/usr/lib/modules/6.8.0-53-generic/
/usr/share/doc/linux-tools-6.8.0-53/
/usr/share/doc/linux-tools-6.8.0-53-generic/
/var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-tools-6.8.0-53-generic.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-tools-6.8.0-53-generic.md5sums
/var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-tools-6.8.0-53.list
/var/lib/dpkg/info/linux-tools-6.8.0-53.md5sums

This appears to be fixed on Mint 22.2 Cinnamon running mintUpdate 7.1.1

When I remove kernels in Update Manager the linux-tools packages are removed (and the directories listed above)

I found this pull request which I think was the fix: https://github.com/linuxmint/mintupdate/pull/963
