Description
Describe the bug
Every day the Linux Mint Welcome screen is shown. I click on Update Manager to check for updates. It will close without any error messages after a few seconds, sometimes before Start the install updates process sometimes after.
When starting Update manager again it always work with no further problems

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
After computer is started Linux Mint welcome screen is shown.
Scroll down to Update Manager and click.
A few seconds after, update manager closes with no error messages
Expected behavior
Update Manager to not close and allow updates to be installed
