[BUG] "chmod: changing permissions of '/XXX': Bad address" error message

Current Behavior

I am experiencing the same issue as the docker-swag issue linuxserver/docker-swag#514. I am also on QNAP. Tried running as root and as proper UID/GID. See system info below.

Wondering which version I can pin it to to make it work, since QNAP does not appear to be fixing this. :(

I believe v1.0.2-ls67 was the last tag that was unaffected by the QNAP bug.

I have the same issue and was about to create a bug about it, but I found this. Is there a workaround? How can I fix it?

Indeed with version v1.0.2-ls67 it starts without a problem. What is the root cause?

I believe v1.0.2-ls67 was the last tag that was unaffected by the QNAP bug.

Thanks for this suggestion, it indeed fixed the problem for me as well!

EDIT:
The chmod warnings do remain though. But at least the web server starts running and I can get into the portal.

The next image release should similarly work around the issue following changes to the base, but ultimately this still needs to be properly fixed upstream by QNAP themselves.

quick temporary fix :

use a rebuild local image to have the latest version of the base image ghcr.io/linuxserver/baseimage-alpine-nginx:3.21
