Manipulate the behaviour of collapsible navbar groups

Hello,

I wonder if there is a way to manipulate the behaviour of collapsible groups in navbars.

I would like to be able to load a page with the navigation groups being closed.
Also, it would be great to have sort of 'exclusive mode' for the groups, so only one group is open at a time, and opening a new group closes the old one. That would improve overview in extensive menus.

So is this a pure feature request, or are parts of it feasibly already?
