This guide is pretty out of date as of Ubuntu 22.05+. More specifically it points to this wiki which is unfortunately also out of date

For more recent versions of Ubuntu the Universe and Multiverse repositories are enabled by default.

But since these aren't officially supported by Ubuntu, maybe instead we update the tutorial to have them disable the Universe and Multiverse repositories? The section on PPA's essentially covers adding 3rd party repositories.

Yeah, I've been debating on moving on from PPAs and expanding into modern 3rd party repos, so I'm open to suggestions.

I believe, "third-party" repositories are not recommended to use in general, but if I was "forced" to use any, I'd definitely prefer Universe/Multiverse or even Snaps over PPAs.
