After eagerly awaiting, we have finally launched the desktop version of LobeChat! Starting from v1.83.0, the public limited beta testing is now open. Currently, the macOS version has undergone small-scale nightly testing by me and some early adopter users and is basically ready for use. Windows support will be improved next week, at which time the beta testing for Windows will also begin.
Desktop Version Features Overview
Local Files Plugin
A meticulously crafted local file reading plugin that allows you to read desktop files and have the agent help you batch organize them effortlessly.

This lets the Agent break through dimensional barriers to become your productivity assistant. (Almost everyone who has used it loves it!)
Stdio Format MCP Plugin
The Web MCP plugin launched in v1.82.0, and now the desktop version finally completes the MCP plugin lineup~
The env part is still missing but will be added within the next couple of days.
Local First & Cloud Sync
One huge advantage of LobeChat’s desktop version over all other desktop products on the market is that we support Local First pure local usage as well as seamless connection to our Cloud version or your self-hosted instance, achieving perfect all-in-one cross-platform synchronization.
How to Use
Cloud Version
In the connected desktop beta version, we have fully enabled the ability to use your own API key. However, using our cloud provider service is not yet supported. In the future, we will enable the Cloud version API key feature to make it easier and faster for everyone to use our desktop app.
Self-Hosting
Many have been curious about how to connect to their self-hosted instances. We have already drafted preliminary documentation here: https://lobehub.com/docs/self-hosting/advanced/desktop. The OIDC JWK part also includes a one-click generation feature to facilitate easy copy and paste.
Other
I have been working almost solo on the desktop version for nearly a month and a half, and the amount of work has been enormous. There are certainly many detail issues that have not been considered. Therefore, we now need everyone’s joint efforts to contribute and help catch bugs, aiming to polish the product to a very good state before the final official release.

LobeChat 的桌面端和市面上所有其他桌面端产品的一个巨大优势在于：我们既支持 Local First 的纯本地使用，也可以轻松连接我们的 Cloud 版，或者你的自部署实例，完美达成 all in one 的跨端同步。
如何使用
云端版本
在连接后桌面端 Beta 版本，我们完全开放了使用自己的 API key 的能力。但暂时不支持使用我们云端版的 provider 服务。未来我们将放开 Cloud 版的 apikey 的特性，让大家都能更加简单快速地用上我们的端应用。
自部署
相比大家都很关心怎么和自己的自部署实例绑定，目前已经初步写了文档：https://lobehub.com/zh/docs/self-hosting/advanced/desktop 。 OIDC JWK 的部分也提供了一键生成的功能，方便大家复制粘贴。
其他
桌面端前前后后我一个人做了接近一个半月，工程量无比巨大，肯定有很多细节问题没考虑到。因此现在需要大家合力共建，多帮忙捉捉虫，争取最后发布正式版时可以打磨到很不错的程度。
