Server crashes when requests fail

Firstly, this is great! Super useful for a linux user and super easy to use with docker.

One small bug though: if you try to upload a file and it fails (I was getting a request time-out because it was a large file, I assume) the server crashes and the container needs to be restarted. Error handling and passing the error message through to the front-end would be great.
