New content element wizard (in latest v15) contains 4 tabs, seems redundant and elements in 3 tabs have general plugin icon #871

Problems:

  • There are now 4 tabs in the "New Page Content" wizard (for calendarize). A bit much (this can be configured away, but is more hassle than just having it in one place and letting integrators move it to another tab)
  • In particular, "Calendarize Elements" and "Calendarze - Normal" - one of them seems redundant
  • "Calendarize Elements" contains the elements with calendarize icons, "Calendarize - Normal", "Calendarize - Booking" and "Calendarize - Special views" contains elements with general plugin icon, see image 2 (this might be already fixed with [TASK] Use calendarize icons in TCA #870)
  • Also, if everything is configured in TCA (icons and groups in particular), the TSconfig NewContentElement.tsconfig is probably obsolete (this is probably reason for extra tab)
  • NEW: also, FIELD:parentRec.list_type should be changed to CType in displayCond in Calendar.xml (otherwise fields will no longer be displayed if NewContentElement.tsconfig is removed

I have installed latest main in minimal TYPO3 v13 installation to rule out any configuration from our end.

After installing latest v15 on our main site, it has already been requested to have it moved again to 1 tab for the editors.Others might see it differently.

Suggestion
