We want to evaluate DevPod for our developers in an enterprise environment. In the documentation i cannot find settings that could manage by an admin so the user could not overwrite this. Currently the most wanted setting is to disable the update check or experimental devpod_pro.
App updates are central managed so the user should not be able to get a message about new version or a start popup to update.
Which solution do you suggest?
For the Windows client i like a settings.json in the application folder or a registry value in HKLM:\Software:\Policies. The same for macOS - here we want this setting in a plist / mobileconfig.
Which alternative solutions exist?
There is no solution, because the only setting file is stored in the user appdata folder. The user can everytime overwrite this settings.
