What would be the benefits of this encoder over using Filebeats?

I would like to know if there are benefits of using this dependency over using the elastic stack's FileBeat, since FileBeat is literally a beat which means it's already properly integrated with the Elastic stack.

I would just like to know whether i'd win an argument against my boss at work here if i would try to tell him to include this dependency in our code.
